Our tub supposedly a 13 A plug and play. I initially fitted a 16A industrial type socket, this burnt out. I then fitted a 32 A Socket and plug and this has proved ok with regular inspection. Many leaks and faulty valves and so I ended up learning how to do it and replumbed it all now it’s working great!!

Absolutely disgusting person dean morley

I bought a hot tub from Hotpricetubs in Oct 2017. Took 13 weeks to arrive then when it arrived it blew up.

It then took then 4 weeks to take away then the 2nd one come filled it and the pipes burst all over my garden, came out 2 weeks later fixed it only for it to burst again a week later. Since then the knobs have all broke the display screen has stooped working. And I have not been able to use it for the last 9 months, obviously can’t get in touch with them.

And I bought through omni Capital finance who have not helped me at all yet still taking my money every month, I just don’t know what to anymore. If I stop paying them, I’ll be in the wrong yet I’m paying for something I cannot use

Any help out there at all for people like me as I’m at my wits end ????

THE WORST AFTERSALES SERVICE .. simply awful !!

The tub itself was fantastic. We had initial issues getting the couple of damaged panels replaced. Took a few emails before they sent them but it wasn’t a big issue as we could still use the tub. And we happily used it most days for 9 months until we had an issue with it and contacted Aftersales to get it sorted.

This was on 27th November.

Despite my giving them updates on the issues while we waited for the engineers visit and then promising he would be aware and have all he needed to fix it, he didn’t. He arrived after 4pm in the dark, fixed one issue which was the control panel , didn’t seem aware of the issue with the jets not working, diagnosed a faulty pump and promised a visit the next week to fix it. After that the tub stopped heating up so I emailed them to tell them so their engineer could be told and they promised they would update the engineer.

Since then Aftersales have been a complete joke. They never answer their phones- once I spent 50 minutes on hold only to get cut off, I leave voicemails and they are ignored, i email and they rarely reply, I try every means to get them to answer me (through sales and logistics, through messenger and twitter) and eventually they do but they make promises they don’t keep and blatantly lie.

I’ve been promised visits on certain days and they don’t bother turning up or contacting to say they aren’t coming.

The one time an engineer did turn up in January he hadn’t been told what was wrong so didn’t have the right pump. This was despite Aftersales promising that he did have the right parts and would definitely be able to fix it!! I discovered later that they didn’t even have the right parts at their base!!

Since then 4 visits have been promised. 2 they just didn’t bother turning up and the last 2 they cancelled stating the engineer who was due to come is no longer with them so they would rearrange and get back to me by the end of today. Surprisingly they haven’t !!

In the middle of all this they keep sending me texts asking me to book a service and it’ll cost me £250!!

Oh, in one attempt to get in touch with them I phoned the number on their emails... mistake.. I got a phone bill with almost £50 charge on it all for being on hold to no one because I now realise they ignore their phones!!

I was promised a refund by one of their employees but I’m not holding my breath.

If anyone leaves a message on their Facebook page that’s anything less than complimentary, they just delete it. I know, they have deleted 2 of mine without replying to me and when my son left messages saying how bad Aftersales were, they deleted them and blocked him.

I’ve had over 2 months without a working hot tub, I’ve been lied to and ignored and am stressed beyond belief with it all.

I emailed the owner, a Dean Morley, twice but he obviously doesn’t care because he hasn’t replied either.

In summary, don’t bother using this company because they really don’t care about their existing customers. The owner doesn’t even care!

UPDATE..

It took almost 3 months of upset, stress and frustration but we Eventually got the hot tub fixed after dealing directly with one of their engineers who was honest enough to be totally truthful. From what he said it’s clear they never had the part needed to repair the tub despite them repeatedly telling me they had and they made promises with absolutely no intention of keeping them. The engineer took things into his own hands and went and bought a suitable pump and the hoses required to make it fit on his way here and then managed to get the new pump fitted & working.

I can’t describe how stressed this whole episode made me.. I don’t think I realised until it was finally done with and I ‘crashed’.

I was on the brink of just getting it fixed by someone else but I didnt want to let hotpricetubs Off the hook when it came to honouring their warranty.

Now out of warranty and I will have nothing more to do with them other than still trying to get a refund off them for those phone calls they ignored.

I repeat .. Don’t bother using this company.. they don’t care!!

I have copied and pasted this from a google review I left but I have all emails that have been exchanged, fb messages that have been sent...and ignored! photos of the damage and a video of telephone call with Alysha where she blatantly lies to me.

This company should be avoided at all costs! They are a bunch of absolute cowboys, who basically take your money then refuse to have any contact with you when there is a problem. I am currently seeking legal advice and I have the finance company that arranges the finance for their hot tubs are investigating with a view to cutting tie's with hotpricetubs! I paid for item in june had a hot tub delivered in sept 17, the first time we used it one whole side panel fell off, I immediately contacted the company, emailed them photo's and told them what was required, they sent out 3 different employee's (I refuse to use their "Engineer" term) on different occasions and every time they didn't even have a clue why they were coming out and 2 turned up with completely the wrong part!

I have been fobbed off constantly since day 1, lied too on numerous occasions and now they just refuse to have any contact with me and my hot tub is still not fit for purpose! They remove any negative comments from their facebook page, they have blocked me from contacting them via FB messenger and commenting on their FB page all together. They are more than happy to answer calls to their sales number, but try ringing their aftersales number and you'll have a long wait, and for gods sake don't use the 083 phone number as it cost me over £10 to be on hold for nearly 20 mins in position number 1 in the fictional Q, I gave up without speaking to anyone not knowing what charge I was clocking up! I have dealt with numerous members of staff and they lie through their back teeth!

Alehsa is especially skilled in the area of lying to try and cover the company's ineptitude.... her last excuse was that the cargo crate was being held at customs (that was months ago and I've heard nothing since). Any spare parts required come from china and take a min 8 weeks to arrive (so they say) but in my case its been over 4 months and still waiting! they've turned up with the wrong part twice by the way!

All I can say is please visit the hotpricetub owners reviews page on facebook as the real review are their not the fake and carefully selected "reviews" they show on their website. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Go to the Financial Ombudsmen Service. They will arrange the credit provider to give you a refund & COMPENSATION

I am trying to get the finance company to do that at the moment, but they are dragging their heel too, was initially told if hotpricetubs don’t respond to them within 2 weeks they’d escalate the complaint, now they are saying 8 weeks!

Where to start? Ordered and paid up front for Christmas delivery which was cancelled at NO notice 3 times. When they convinced me it was to be delivered "without fail" on a particular date I arrange a crane to lift it the next day. I was only then found out it wasn't coming at 4pm of the day of delivery. The would not cover the cancelled carnage. (£240!). When it finally arrived mid February is didn't work. I have to get one of their engineers (nice bloke but no tools or training) who simply removed the entire heater and main board. It worked for 3 weeks before cutting out again. I gave a month for the company to fix and or repair it which was ignored. They left an internal quality control sheet in the casing which states it was checked but has scratches on it. By their own admission from their own paper work they were happy to send out a less than perfect tub. I made a court application (Money Claim Online) and long storey short they have ignored the Claim, enforcement and now I have arranged Bailiffs to attend their property to seize goods. Absolute shambles and would not trust them in the slightest. They have dissolved Hotpricetubs in January yet still trading so I guess an issue with Trading Standards. DO NOT TRUST THEM! yes they are cheap but they will leave you high and dry! Dean Morley is the MD but will ignore you entirely - dean.morley@***.com

Disaster from start to finish. Booked electrician crane and they didn’t show up. Out of pocket and says booked off work for nothing. Constant lies and ignoring my calls. Tub was faulty from the beginning. Controls complicated, no instructions.
I’ve got my money back through chargeback after a fight and now they are chasing me to collect. I can’t wait to get rid of the monstrosity taking up space in my garden. They lied to visa and they will lie to you.
I wonder if the positive review from MB below, is the same Melanie brown who is the after sales manager (alsoDean Moreleys girlfriend). Funny how she’s review hotpricetubs and Tubs2U?!?!
Hotpricetubs were, and are, so bad they’ve changed their name to Tubs2U but don’t be fooled. It’s the same people (DeanSid). Check companies House.
Please spend a bit more and go for a reputable company. You will regret going for these guys.

Awful service and company broken hot tub

I would avoid this company at all costs I paid cash for my hot tub back in June 2017 did not receive it until September 2017, on arrival the side panels were broken and we waited around a six weeks to get new ones delivered and A bar was bent . Then in November the jet adjusters stared leaking and not working properly and only one got replaced one still leaks . We are now in April 2018 and at the end of March the hot tub has stopped working altogether and blows our main fuse board in our house when turned on . We have been promised and engineer to come and fix it on many occasions and not one time have they showed up . We now have trading standards involved and I am trying to get a refund but I can’t see this happening any time soon , they never return our call or answer our emails I have been calling them every day now for the past two weeks still no closer to getting this sorted out. Now I am stuck with this in my garden and I can’t use it feel completely at a loss as to what to do next to get my money back .

I feel your pain. My tub broke down within 2 montgs of delivery and took two months to get a repair.

Warranty was extended but guess what? It broke down on the last day. I was told a new pump would cost £180! I found plenty on eBay at half the price abd less.

Fixed it myself! They are shocking

Paid deposit back in December 2017 and was told to expect delivery in February. 14th February I received a call to advise that my 'British made hot tub' has not come in from China and they therefore don't have a tub for me. They could offer me another tub at £4000 (double the price of my initial one) which I obviously said no to and asked for deposit back. Two months have been and gone - no hot tub, no communication. Over 20 calls to the company to ask for money back and still nothing. False promises of refund at least 10 times. Called yesterday and was asked for bank details which would mean a refund within the hour, nothing. Called back and was told to expect a call today, nothing. Called today and now the manager is not in .... Fraud, fraud, fraud! Do not pay these crooks!!

When i was connecting up a hot tub for one of my customers. The hot price tub delivery guys damaged my van, the guys stated that there would be no issue, their insurance will sort everything, i have contacted them approximately 20 times, i have email traces to Dean Morley, they just ignore me. I have photos etc plus the customer as a witness

Very smooth ordering process but once they have your money prepare to be disappointed. Promised 6-8 week delivery, had to chase after 8 to get a date.

Once the date was confirmed I booked a crane and electrician. I can honestly say I could have happily waited 12 weeks. It was the lies, constant disappointment and financial impact that really upset me. Delivery due Monday, I called on Friday to ask if they would let me know a two hour window on the day to ensure crane cost was minimal (min £350+VAT).

They couldn’t find my order. It wouldn’t be ready. I explained I had booked a crane, then they concocted a bizarre story saying my order would be ready after all. Sunday afternoon arrived, I get a text from “Jake” saying there was a problem with delivery.

He didn’t answer my calls it texts for hours. By this stage I was staring to feel uneasy, I had read the negative reviews rolling in and cancelled the crane, fearing a huge outlay for nothing. I instead employed a fencer to remove my neighbours fence. After many missed calls Jake called back and said the delivery was unlikely to go ahead on Monday but he would try his best.

He promised to call first thing Monday morning to let me know. I didn’t hear from him so tried to call aftersales. Here is where you will notice a big difference in customer service before and after they get your money. Want to buy a hot tub?

Sure...your call will he answered in seconds. Want to find out anything after you’ve ordered? Prepare to sit on hold for up to 40 minutes. Expensive call rates.

Jake makes all kinds of promises, but he’s a liar. Don’t believe a word he tells you. After telling me he would try to get the tub to me on Monday, I finally got through to him (via after sales and a very long hold) to hear it wouldn’t arrive. Jake NEVER answered his mobile to me.

Or any of my text messages. I was naturally upset that I had taken the day off work, booked an electrician and had a fence panel removed, but at least Jake promised it would be here first thing the next morning (Tuesday) So, my husband booked the morning off work and Jake the fake promised it would be here in time for my husband to leave to catch his train to work at 12. Jake the fake also promised to call me by 9am to confirm the ETA of the delivery. All good...what could go wrong?

So, 9am came and went and, despite multiple calls to Jake the fake from my husband and I, we couldn’t get through. Literally hours spent on hold to the “after-sales” department but not able to get through. Then a miracle happened, at 3:12pm, my husband got through to a nice lady who said the delivery was on its way, to be here by 5. Well,...

5 o’clock came and went and there was no sign of the delivery. My phone rang at 5:30pm. Hurrah! It was hot price tubs!

Could it be my delivery? No! Our drivers will be with you at 7, are you ok if we take payment? Pardon?

You’ll have to excuse me if I don’t believe a word that hot price tubs tell me so no I won’t be paying a penny Not long after 7pm, two lovely drivers arrived and positioned the tub. They were fab but exhausted! And clearly had to deal with disappointed customers on a very regular basis. By the way don’t expect an instruction manual, you will need to request it and it will be sent via PDF.

My phone bill came today and I spent £55 trying to get through when they didn’t deliver. Light on hot tub not working, Bluetooth not working, jets useless and one of the valves is leaking. PLEASE PLEASE don’t waste your money. I thought I researched but they delete every negative comment.

I issued them a letter a week ago giving them 14 days to respond otherwise i will take them to court. This can be done online and i have registered but i will have to pay but this will be part of my claim.

I have also contacted Citizen Advice who put me in touch with Trading Standards who are looking into my problems for me. I am also trying to get the message out to as many people as possible as i would not want anybody else getting ripped of by this company and as you say they have someone monitoring their Facebook page and all negative comments are removed very quickly but if you post on Twitter they are unable to remove any comments

We brought a Hot Tub from these Guy's nothing but problems, don't answer calls, warranty process a complete joke! Quoted delivery lead time 4 weeks, 12 weeks later had to ring numerous times, then delivered without chemicals and we had to wait another 2 weeks for them to send. Sleepless nights, I know I paid a cheap price but it's still a lot of money to us and now I am worried I am going I am not going to have a warranty for the Hot Tub we have purchased. They have posted on Facebook that they are moving premises and the showroom closed, this sounds like another lie. Just to let you all know, we purchased another tub, its amazing, its CE marked, has great jets, a real warranty and a balboa system which is second to none. Don't buy cheap chinese death traps when you can by a safe product!! We spoke to lots of people and found out...

As of today 11.2.2017, Hotpricetubs, wanted to settle out of court. We have now had a full refund and they have removed the lethal hot tub. Although this case is resolved for us, we are aware that various regulated authorities have a big interest in this company,...

Today I filed in Court, Hotpricetubs will not respond to anything in the way of phone calls and emails and we have a dead hot tub sitting outside. The warranty, which is a full service warranty for 12 months, doesnt stand for anything with regards to these conmen!!!...

We have been hit with HOT PRICE TUBS also, they sold us this hot but and informed us it had 1 year warranty, after they attended to put the various issues we had with the tub right, (although onsite asking for to use our tools and electricians tape). They now say, because our hot tub will not work, that they will only supply the components only and will not provide labour, although they did previously provide the labour (although very much don't know what they are doing to mend it) and we have nothing on our invoice that states, "warranty for components only".

It states clearly, Warranty 1 year! This hot tub business (HOT PRICE TUBS) is disgusting and we would also like to warn others against purchasing from them. They openly admitted on the phone when my husband stated there was no CE markings, Dean the owner who sells to also Ireland and the UK stated, "it only needs to be on the packaging". When we continued asking why it has to be on the packaging only, he stated, "we ship them from China and put the CE marking on in the UK", this is disgraceful.

They are leading customers to buy and do not full fill there obligations. After pulling the side panel off the tub its had a small fire within the electronic structure of the tub (see the pictures that is the bit they put electricians tape around so they made this tub defective as well as not following regulations), also the trip switch never tripped. We have a sixteen year old daughter who uses this hot tub. I have been looking for the gentlemans email address who added his information on his review about Hot Price Tubs UK, but we have to be a business user to see it.

We are taking this Deansid Ltd (owner of Hot Price Tubs) to court this coming Friday as we have heard nothing from trading standards to date and Hot Price Tubs are not interested, stating you will receive your components in a few days and that was last week on the 18th January 2017, to date we have not received anything, but they admitted also they get shipped from China.

They have also now blocked us on Facebook. Much information from others will be greatly appreciated to help and support us.

Paid deposit by credit card. Keep moving delivery so now making charge back on credit card but you only have limited time to do this so if you think they are not genuine (pretty damn sure they are con men) get in touch with credit card people asap (try for section 75). Hoping they have finally folded - not even answering sales line for last 2 days and the other Co they name on their website Spa City have a number on their website that is no longer in use!!

OMG I wished I read these before I spent nearly £3k on min less than 12 months ago .... we'd had our not even 6 months when it broke in May 2017 - this issue was not resolved until only last week, after 100's of emails and telephone calls to the company and several threats from trading standards.

We now have a new hot tub which was delivered 2 weeks ago .... plugged this in, after an hour or so it completely burnt our socket in the house nearly causing a house fire ! We have since spent a further £170 on electrician parts and labour !!

Disgusted with this company and their very poor customer service ! AND they admitted their parts are from China to me too !

Obviously not UK made hot tubs. Obviously Chinese imports. They'll be bankrupt before the warranties expire.

It looks to me as though the AMP plug had a poor connection on one of the pins. The pin was probably not inserted correctly into the plug, so therefore it wasn't contacting correctly within the socket.

The poor connection resulted in a high resistance joint and as a result it generated excess heat.

It doesn't look pretty, but it's not unheard of to see issues like these.....

The hot tub needs a new circuit board installing and the AMP plug should be replaced on the cable.

The other plugs need checking too. I can see that they've been bound in insulation tape. This will be pulling on the pins which again could cause a poor connection.

I have no doubt that HotPriceTubs are a poor company to deal with.

Their website is pretty bad, there is no geographical address stated on their website. They also say that all hot tubs must be registered on the website within 14 days of delivery, if they aren't the warranty isn't valid, which is really poor and probably wouldn't stand up in court.

For anyone reading this that has not yet purchased their hot tub, please do not buy a hot tub that is manufactured in China. Do your research, if the price is cheap be incredibly wary, make sure that you can actually see the hot tub in a showroom and do not buy off a website. It's very easy to get sucked into buying a Chinese hot tub, the prices are fantastically cheap and they look impressive.

But underneath that shiny exterior is a poorly constructed, badly designed, worthless piece of junk.

I've been in this industry long enough to know the problems, take it from me..... do not buy a cheap hot tub.

Still no contact but I keep posting on their Facebook page using my family's accounts as i am blocked and they keep removing any comments. I did have two people contact me last night who were going to purchase hot tubs from Hotpricetubs but after reading reviews on here and the Facebook page Hotpricetubs Owners Reviews they decided they would shop else where.

Well another day no calls but I am now blocked from their Facebook page. Did get a PM from them saying Dean will call me Monday but he was supposed to do this last Friday so I do not hold much hope.

I feel sorry for anybody else that have spent money with this terrible company but I will not give up.

I served my letter nearly a week ago giving them a chance to amicably resolve my problems within 14 days but no response so I will see them in court. I am also keeping Trading Standards up to date and have contacted Watchdog.

Its been 6 days since they last spoke to me and they have 9 more days to respond to my letter or then I complete the online form for the small claims court

I ordered my Chelsea hot tub that they stated was WiFi ready and would take 6-8 weeks for delivery. This turned into 12 weeks and when it arrived the first thing I found was it came with no instructions what so ever. Also the cover could not be fastened as they had put the speakers where the cover needed to be fixed. This prompted my first round of phone calls and emails with no joy from Hotpricetubs. I then asked my electrician to fit the WiFi extender I had brought only to find out the hot tub was not compatible. After many more calls and emails they admitted the advert was incorrect and quickly changed it on their website. I then finally got to speak to the Directors of the company Dean & Sid who promised to upgrade my hot tub. After two separate days off work waiting for their fitter who never arrived I was back on the phone and emails but now they will not answer my calls or reply to emails. I once drove from Frome in Somerset back to Hampshire and I was on hold to their customer services all the way and never got through. I advice anybody who is thinking of using this company to think again, they are conmen total chancers who have no respect for their customers what so ever.

Check your phone bill too, I was on hold when they didn’t turn up and it cost £55 over two days

I found a normal landline number for them instead of the 08444 which as you say costs a lot of money especially when it can take over 2 hours to get through. I do not bother calling anymore as I am convinced that they will not answer calls from me and at least with emails i have proof of all correspondence and will be able to use it when i take them to court

In one way i am shocked to learn of other people having issues but also glad to know i wasn't going mad, they made me feel like i was and that i was the only one. They claim to install 28 tubs a month and never an issue...!!!!

What started out a dream come true turned into a fiasco.
i got my dream hot tub for a cool €3500, delivered & installed,
loved it, thrilled with it, a pure dream to have.
took 4 hours to fill & 24 hours to heat up, all ok so far.......
ordered chemicals to go with it, they were to be sent on later in the week, again not an issue until that 'week' turned in a month and never arrived !!!
main issue however, the first night in the tub, it almost sucked us out as it drained dramatically & scarily......because the waterfall feature broke !!! which caused this to happen.....

emailed company, all so good to reply within minutes in fact, talk us through opening the panel etc found the issue, fixed it back place myself but knew it wasn't enough so used cable ties, as i am under warranty i was hoping someone could call out to me to fix properly

i was so happy with guidance and communication to that point, i quickly gave them GOOD REVIEW ......

So off i went refilled the tub the second time in 2 days....4 hours to fill...24 hours to heat !!!!!

tub worked fine, still no chemicals but we knew they would be on soon...!!!.....and now one side of lights stopped working.....

I approached company again to seek help & track chemicals.....

This time they ignored me, wouldn't take calls, emails etc etc...after a week and having to 'pretend' to be a new customer, I got the run around and the promise of sorting it......another week went by, I left them alone to get it sorted......NOTHING !!!!

Again i attempted to make contact by all means available...

I then proceed to 'pester' them by whatever means possible, on social media, they kept deleting my comments as fast as i put them up......eventually BLOCKED ME !!!!!

so here I am with a new tub that I have not been able to use for a whole month, no chemicals, no lights, no features, no support and no explanation....

Took my money and ran....to say I am disappointed is an understatement and and its true what they say, if something is too good to be true it usually is.......buy cheap buy twice

Hi there, I have seen you have updated. We also are going through a lot of mess and have a dead tub sitting in our back.

They blocked us also on facebook but have since unblocked us but we cannot comment on their page. We have inundated the system/internet with the issues we are having with them. We live in Bishop Auckland, County Durham and Dean Morely is arrogant and unprofessional in response, when they did respond and also nature.

Hi there I am having issues with the same company, Hot Price Tubs, the hot tub caught fire in the electronic structure of the tub. It has also had various issues previously and they attended, although it was clear they had no idea what they were doing.

They have now blocked us on Facebook, told us yesterday morning they would phone us back at 5pm, that was on the 23.1.2017 and to date nothing.

I would not trust that company if they said it was snowing outside, i would still go and have a look.

They took our money and give us a 1 year warranty and now state its only for components only, although they came previously to try to mend it.

We wrote to them last week and they openly admit they do not have a hot tub engineer, we have the email. On the phone the owner Dean, openly admitted that CE markings do not need to be on the electronics of the hot tub only on the packaging and then went onto say that they get the components shipped from China and they put them on the product.

I want to warn all people about this business, they do not care. I even stated duty of care and harm to Dean the owner of Hot price tubs on the phone. Which could have caused serious harm, our daughter uses this tub and that being an electrical fire, which also the trip switch did not go off either, put our daughter and ourselves in danger. When I said this to him on the phone he said, "now your trying to make this personal".

What an awful uncaring person he is, he is only out to gain the money. I do not know how they are still in business.

OMG....I am shocked to hear it caught fire and concerned now for my own again. that is awful......i don't how they get away with it.

I totally understand your frustration. We were lucky in the end when Neil sorted us out.

We had the same run around unfortunately and just ate into our lives in trying to get it sorted. Definitely go further with this and you should get it sorted.
